Occupational Studies Coursework
Course Sequence
The program will include 126 semester units which will consist of 51 semester units of general education that are in alignment with the CSU-GE Breadth requirements and 75 semester units of coursework specific to Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Requirements for application: This program is only available to students who have already obtained a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited school.

Bolded Classes are Upper Division. Cost for Upper Division courses = $5,200 ($130 per unit x 40 units in program)

Non-Bolded Classes are Lower Division. Cost of Lower Division courses = $644 ($46 per unit x 14 units in program). Equivalent classes can be taken at other colleges or before entering the program.

*All fees and tuition are subject to change by the state legislature, Community College Board of Governors, District Board of Trustees. Required enrollment in additional lower division courses will result in an increase in tuition costs. Any additional requirements will be discussed with individual students during the application process and regularly scheduled counseling appointments.

Lower Division General Education
There are some general educations courses that will need to be taken in addition to those required by the AS/AA in OTA to meet GE requirements and as prerequisites for upper division general education. Students should have transcripts evaluated by one of the SAC career technical education counselors prior to taking additional general education courses.
