Students who enter the Baccalaureate program must have an AA/AS in OTA. They do not have to be a graduate from Santa Ana College's OTA Program but they must come from an OTA Program that has been ACOTE accredited, and from a college that has regional accreditation.
Santa Ana College does not accept units from colleges that do not have regional accreditation. For example, Santa Ana College does not accept units from a college that has National Accreditation.

The Bachelor's degree must meet the same requirements for general education as any 4 year institution. Therefore, these classes have been included to meet those requirements.
Equivalent courses taken at a college with regional accreditation will be accepted and will not need to be repeated. Students should have their transcript reviewed by one of the designated counselors to determine what general education is needed.
No, the upper division courses for this program will need to be taken at Santa Ana.
Similar to the OTA program, the Baccalaureate degree is set up for students to start and move through the program as a cohort. There are between 12-14 units per semester that can be taken prior to starting the program, to lower the number of units that need to be taken each semester. If all of the lower division general education were completed prior to starting the program, students would need to take 6-12 units per semester.
The program is being set up to allow for students to work. Classes will be online, hybrid, late afternoon/evening and weekends. Each student will need to determine a balance between school and work responsibilities. Students who have completed the lower division general education will have fewer classes in the first two semesters of the program.
There are a variety of general education classes that can be taken that may enhance work as a COTA. Some suggestions include:

This program should meet most prerequisites. However, every Master's program sets its own prerequisite courses. For example, one prerequisite that a majority of programs require is separate Anatomy & Physiology courses (or equivalent in terms of depth), which this program is not requiring.
