About us

International peace initiatives through student exchange and global understanding date back to the 1930s. Building on this legacy, the International Student Association (ISA) was established in 1955 as the International Student Club and is one of the oldest student clubs on campus. For decades, ISA has played a vital role in supporting and connecting international and domestic students, faculty, and the broader community at Santa Ana College.

ISA welcomes and encourages all students to join, helping to create a vibrant, diverse, and globally connected campus. In addition, ISA provides opportunities for local students, faculty, and community members to experience and learn from rich and diverse global cultures without traveling outside of the United States.

International students come to the United States not only to pursue higher education, but also to develop independence, cross-cultural understanding, and global perspectives. Through these experiences, international students contribute significantly to the cultural and intellectual life of the college and the surrounding community.

The International Student Association offers learning, leadership, cultural, and social opportunities that foster friendship, inclusion, and meaningful intercultural exchange for the entire campus community.

  • Campus social gatherings and meet-and-greets
  • On-campus activities and local outings that students may attend independently
  • Recreational and sporting activities on campus
  • Cultural workshops, presentations, and student-led talks
  • Community service and volunteer activities

ISA also supports and participates in Cultural Awareness Events on campus to promote diversity, inclusion, and global understanding within the college and the surrounding community.
