Congratulations on your decision to apply to Santa Ana College! Please read below for more information about Admissions as an International Student at SAC.

Eligibility

For our degree programs, students should: 

  • Be 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent 
  • Have a grade point average of 2.0 (or equivalent of C grades in USA)  
  • Have a minimum English proficiency test score of: 
    • TOEFL: 450 PBT / 131 CBT / 45 iBT;  
    • IELTS: 5-5.5;  
    • Cambridge Exam PET: 150;  
    • CEFR: B1; or  
    • Duolingo 85 
    • Or, one year of successful completion of coursework taught in English or ESL program graduation may be considered.

Application Process

  • Submit the Online Application at CCCApply 

  • Copy of Passport Bio Page

  • Official Academic transcripts and diplomas (including High School, college, language school transcripts), translated into English 

  • English Proficiency 

  • Autobiographical/Personal Statement, up to 2 pages, describing yourself and your goals (Optional) 

  • Submit the Online Application at CCCApply 

  • Copy of Passport Bio Page

  • Official Academic transcripts and diplomas (including High School, college, language school transcripts), translated into English 

  • English Proficiency  

  • Copy of current I-20 Form 

  • Autobiographical/Personal Statement, up to 2 pages, describing yourself and your goals (Optional) 

  • Financial Support Documentation, for the total budget of one year’s Cost of Attendance, using one or more of the following: 

  • Submit the Online Application at CCCApply 

  • Copy of Passport Bio Page

  • Copy of current I-20 Form 

  • Copy of current Visa & I-94 card 

  • Letter from your current home institution permitting you to enroll at SAC, to include the course name(s) and semester information (please note, this letter is required each semester at SAC)

After Applying

  • You will receive an email with a username and temporary password to log into Self-Services portal.
  • You will then need to upload the support documents to the student portal. (For more information, please review this document:  Uploading Required Documents through Self-Service Student Manual.pdf).
  • Once admitted, you will receive an Acceptance letter or Concurrent Enrollment Authorization letter
    • New and Transfer Students will also receive their I-20 Forms.
  • New Students will have the additional task of applying for the F-1 Visa.
