Guardian Scholars Program Eligibility
To join the Guardian Scholars Program at Santa Ana College, students may qualify in one of two ways:
- Guardian Scholars (GSP) - Students must meet all of the following:
- Be a current or former foster youth
- Be 35 years old or younger (at the start of the first academic year)
- Be enrolled in at least 6 units
- Have been in foster care for at least one day (at any age)
- Provide a Ward of Court / Dependency Letter
- GSP / NextUp - Students must meet all of the following:
- Be a current or former foster youth
- Be 26 years old or younger (at the start of the first academic year)
- Enroll or plan to enroll in 9 units
- Have been in foster care for at least one day on or after your 13th birthday
- Provide a Ward of Court / Dependency Letter
