What is the HiSET/GED Equivalency Certificate?
The High School Equivalency Certificate is a state-recognized equivalent to a high school diploma. You earn the certificate by passing either the GED or HiSET exams. A passing score on either of these exams is equal to a California high school diploma. This is according to the California State Board of Education. This certificate is recognized even outside of California.
