Program Overview

Upward Bound is a federally funded TRIO program designed to help high school students prepare for and succeed in college. Serving students from Saddleback, Santa Ana, and Valley High School, the program supports those who are first-generation college-bound and/or meet federal income guidelines.

Our services are offered year-round and at no cost to participants. Students benefit from:

  • After school tutoring in core academic subjects
  • Student and parent academies focused on college readiness
  • SAT prep and college application support
  • Financial aid workshops and FAFSA assistance
  • College and cultural field trips
  • A six-week summer residential program that simulates the college experience
  • Academic instruction in math, science, English, and foreign languages

Upward Bound helps students build a strong academic foundation, gain exposure to college life, and develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed in higher education.
