Eligibility
- First-year college student.
- Be eligible to enroll in two consecutive writing classes, English C1000 in the fall
and English C1001 in the spring.
- Can commit to a full year in the Puente Program as part of a Counseling and English
cohort learning community.
- Be interested in transferring to a 4-year university.
- Agree to be actively involved in all Puente monthly transfer-readiness and cultural
enrichment off-campus activities.
*Special Add Authorization is required for registration. Please contact the Puente
Counselor/Coordinator for more information.*
Program Opportunities
- Be part of the Puente “familia” community.
- Build your academic resume that contributes to future higher-ed opportunities (ex:
scholarships, internships, competitive majors and universities, university personal
statement -content, employment, and more).
- Access to academic advising with your Puente counselor until transfer.
- Guaranteed/automatic enrollment in English C1000, English C1001 (golden four general
education), and Puente counseling courses for the academic year.
- Monthly transfer-readiness and cultural enrichment off-campus activities.

Monday - Wednesday: 9am - 6pm
Thursdays: 9am - 5pm
Fridays: 9am - 12pm
