The Assessment Center provides in-person exam proctoring services for students with
approved DSPS accommodations or students making up an exam due to extenuating circumstances.
Important notes:
- In-person exam proctoring is available only to students enrolled in Santa Ana College
courses; proctoring services are not provided for outside schools or universities.
- All students must present a valid photo ID (e.g., student ID, driver’s license, passport,
or state-issued ID).
- Testing is available on a drop-in basis as long as your instructor has submitted your
exam in advance.
- Students with DSPS accommodations for a private room or assistive technology must
call the Assessment Center to schedule an appointment.
- Contact the Assessment Center to verify your exam has been submitted by
your instructor.
Prohibited items inside the testing room include:
- Phones, smartwatches, laptops/tablets, unauthorized notes, headphones/AirPods, e-cigarettes,
backpacks/handbags, food and drinks
(except water)
To allow students to use the Assessment Center for exam services, instructors must
complete the Faculty Exam Form and submit all exam materials 2–3 business
days prior to the exam deadline (excluding weekends and holidays).
- Instructors must be logged into their Santa Ana College Microsoft 365 account to access
the form.
- The Faculty Exam Form must be submitted by the instructor, not the student.
- Instructors should communicate all details of the exam to their student.
The Assessment Center adheres to Santa Ana College’s Academic Dishonesty Policy. The testing room is continuously monitored, and if a student is found
cheating or attempting to cheat, the exam and any related materials or notes will
be confiscated.
An Academic Integrity Incident Report will be completed and shared with the Assessment
Center Faculty Coordinator and the student’s instructor. The instructor
will be responsible for determining the appropriate outcome and any disciplinary action.
