The Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education Assessment Office provides CASAS placement testing to help students determine the best class level for their academic goals. This non-punitive evaluation serves as a supportive guidance tool for those entering programs like ESL and High School Diploma tracks, ensuring students are placed where they can best succeed.

The Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education (SCE) offers free and reduced-cost childcare services to support students while they attend classes. These programs provide quality early education for children at various campus locations, with eligibility and options determined by student income and enrollment needs.

Childcare

The Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) provides equal access and specialized support for students with verifiable disabilities to help them reach their educational goals. Eligible students can access a variety of accommodations, including testing assistance, assistive technology, sign language interpreters, and alternate media materials.

DSPS

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Student Bus Pass program provides eligible students with free, unlimited rides on all local fixed-route buses throughout Orange County. To qualify, students must be enrolled in specific programs like ESL or Career Education, maintain regular attendance, and activate their student ID at the Welcome Center for use as their bus pass.

Transportation Services

Enrolled Continuing Education students have access to comprehensive health and wellness services through the Santa Ana College Health and Wellness Center. These services include short-term physical health care (such as exams and immunizations) and mental health support (including counseling and 24/7 access to the Soluna app) to ensure students remain healthy and successful in their studies.

Health & Wellness Center

The Basic Needs Legal Support page provides students with access to free or low-cost legal resources and workshops, focusing primarily on immigration, citizenship, and housing rights. Through partnerships with organizations like Community Legal Aid SoCal and CHIRLA, the college connects students to expert guidance on naturalization, DACA, and general legal advocacy to ensure a secure environment for their education.

Legal Assistance

Project RISE (now often referred to as Rising Scholars) is a specialized support program and student club dedicated to helping formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted students transition into higher education. The program provides a safe community along with essential resources like individualized academic counseling, textbook assistance, and expungement clinics to help students achieve their personal and professional goals.

New students automatically receive a student ID number upon registration, which can be found in the "User Settings" section of the online Self-Service portal. To get a physical ID card for discounts and campus services, you can visit the Santa Ana College or Centennial Education Center offices in person or submit an online request form with a valid photo.

Santa Ana College provides comprehensive technology support to help students manage their school email, navigate Canvas for online classes, and access free Microsoft 365 tools. Students can receive assistance through a 24-hour tech support line, in-person labs, or specialized workshops that cover essential digital skills and AI learning tools.
