The Digital Literacy program helps students build confidence using technology for everyday life, work, and career growth. Participants learn how to navigate the internet, use email and video meetings, work with Google tools, and understand social media in both personal and professional settings.
As students progress, they develop skills in online communication, remote work basics, digital responsibility, and content creation. The program also introduces website building, online portfolios, and personal branding, giving students the tools needed to manage their digital presence and market themselves in today's online world.
Students must pass all of the following courses:
- VBUS 501: Digital Literacy for Academic and Professional Success - Tier 2
- VBUS 502: Digital Literacy for Academic and Professional Success - Tier 3
- VBUS 503: Digital Literacy for Academic and Professional Success - Tier 4
Students must also pass one of the following courses:
- VBUS 259: Orientation to Computers
- VBUS 500: Digital Literacy for Academic and Professional Success - Tier 1
Students must also pass one of the following courses:
- VBUS 400: Employability Skills
- VBUS 402: Workforce Power Skills
- ESL 520: English for Work 2

Learn the ins-and-outs of legally flying a drone. Students will practice basic flight maneuvers and specific tasks like recording video and aerial mapping. Training will also include safety and emergency procedures.
Students must pass all of the following courses:
- VDMA 320: Introduction to Drone Pilot Training
- VBUS 303: Adobe Photoshop
Students must also pass one of the following courses:
- VBUS 243: Introduction to Customer Service Skills
- VBUS 400: Employability Skills
Participants must also:
- Be at least 18 years old on the first day of class.
If you pass VDMA 320 with a grade of B or higher, you can earn credit for DM 171 Drone Pilot Training through the credit-by-exam process. Credits from VDMA 320 can count towards a drone certificate or degree at Santa Ana College. There is no tuition cost for VDMA 320.
