Earn an Associate Degree for Transfer in Political Science
The Associate in Arts in Political Science for Transfer (AA-T) prepares students to
transfer into the CSU system. Please consult a counselor regarding specific course
requirements for your transfer institution. Completion of the AA-T degree also provides
guaranteed admission to the CSU system, although does not guarantee admission to a
specific campus or major. Upon completion of the AA-T in Political Science students
will have an understanding of both the breadth and depth of the political science
discipline. This knowledge will be grounded in the comprehension of political science
principles, concepts, ideas, theories, research, and terminology. Students will also
have the capacity to write and think in a critical and analytical way about issues
pertaining to politics, government, and society.
