Earn an Associate Degree in Medium/Heavy Truck Technology
In addition to the general education requirements, the associate degree in medium/heavy
truck technology is designed to successfully prepare students to enter the diesel-electric
medium and heavy-duty transportation industry as an apprentice or helper technician or
provide supplementary knowledge for equipment operators and truck drivers. The program
provides lecture and lab activities related to heavy-duty vehicle engines, power-train
units, steering and suspension components, brakes, electrical, air conditioning, and
preventative maintenance inspections. Those working in the industry will be able to
improve their competencies in each subject area.
