From Mary Steckler, MSN, RN, Associate Dean of Health Sciences & Director of Nursing

Welcome to Santa Ana College Nursing!

We are proud to offer a supportive and effective learning environment for our future nurses as they grow into compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled professionals. Our nursing cohorts are comprised of many different types of students including first-time healthcare professionals, professionals from an adjacent field looking for a change, or individuals simply passionate about helping others.

Our department consists of nursing faculty instructors who cover a different topic of nursing (mental health, pediatrics, fundamentals, obstetrics), clinical instructors who oversee student clinical work at hospitals, part time assistants (instructional associates, learning facilitators, instructional assistants), and clerical support staff. Our team of staff and instructors work together to thoroughly prepare students for both the national licensure exam and for their future careers in the hospital.
