Welcome to the History Department

History That Inspires, Knowledge That Empowers: Through the study of historical events and diverse perspectives, we equip students with the critical thinking skills needed to engage with the world.

We are excited for you to join our program that will deepen your understanding of the past and enhance your critical thinking skills to help you better engage with the world around you. Our curriculum is designed to help you explore your own cultural heritage, analyze social and economic systems, and understand national and international affairs through reading, writing, and robust analysis.

As you progress through the History program, you will develop the analytical and research skills essential for a wide range of careers—including government, law, journalism, business, international relations, and archival work. Whether your goal is to transfer to a four-year institution or to apply your historical knowledge in the workforce, we are here to support and guide you along the way.

We look forward to seeing you thrive in our program and beyond. Welcome to a journey of discovery, analysis, and making connections that matter!
